They nodded their heads and walked out. Ximendos, Amya, Akasha, Iris, Ilias, and Cameron were the only ones in the room.
Cameron

Ilias

Ximendos
Now that everyone is seated, can we begin?
Everyone nodded.
Ximendos
Our plans are in effect and working as predicted.
He spun his index finger on his right hand in a circle.
Ximendos
The world and its inhabitants are ours.
Cameron
Is that what I came here for? Another meeting for you to glorify your son and his mind control?
Ilias

Ximendos

He looked over to Cameron.
Ximendos
We have almost completed our plan. In a months time all the ones who have not yet to follow us,

Ximendos

Ilias
As soon as that is complete I will change every mind I control into believing we are their superiors and they will follow us until their death. No longer will I control them. They will continue to live their lives, but they will worship us.

He turned towards Ximendos.
Cameron
Father, what is the point of all this? Power? You are a monster of power and you need these humans to follow you? When did man try and enslave the ants?

Arkain floated down gracefully above them.

Orthak found him and a soldier informed us.
Cameron

Ximendos
Once they come, they will die. Amros will be Amya’s to dispatch and I will fight Hayden.

Ximendos

Akasha stood up as Cameron sat.

Word has reached us that there is a navy army out in the Pacific Ocean and they can be a threat. Also, in New York
Ilias put his feet up on the chair and sat in a ball.

Akasha
They are preparing for battle, and we won’t attack if it means killing those we already hold in control.
Iris

Akasha
They have the advantage in the water and those are lives to our cause.

Cameron walked outside to Velis and Malic.

I know what it is like to be alone after knowing those you lost for so long. We will get Arkain back Suri, and I mean it.

They’re too powerful.

That’s never stopped us.
Suri smiled.

Now get some rest, Arkain wouldn’t want you to look like you haven’t slept when he sees you again.
She hugged him.

Fallen sat on a tree branch lucky enough to not have gotten knocked down watching Suri and Hayden.

They are doing their best not to fall apart. Arkain was this organizations moral support, and now the flower crumbles from the stem.
It seems there are a lot of things happening now.

the jobs that he could easily do and finish quite quickly.
If people are preparing to attack now, does this mean
that attacks are on the horizon for this council?
What if the attacks take place, what is Arkain going to do?
Very nice, a lot happening. Please get the bad guys out of New York haha. Suri is definitely my favorite character. Cameron and Arkain look alike? Wow more twists. It could be nothing, it could be the climax of the novel. You always keep us hanging Steven =)

The ending line was amazing. I wish Cameron would become good again and realize who arkain is. I like it though because it makes me wonder what if he realized. We will just have to wait and see. I feel like there is a big battle coming up. Oh if you wanted Carter to play Cameron I think he'd be a really good role for him.

Hmmmm. so arkain's and cameron's mothers had the same labor problems i guess. is that why they look similar or what? interest, very interesting.
Does Ximendos have powers or does he steals them from others and does not have a true power that he had developed himself?
ReplyDeleteEh, does that means Arkain and Cameron are related? Or was it because they are going to have to fight each other in the end and that's why they share a deeper connection than what they think even though they met when they were kids?
This was a very interesting chapter. Great job as usual.
i wonder why they are keeping Arkain alive if they want him dead so badly...and I really want more to happen between Cameron and Arkain so I can't wait to read more about that :)

It's interesting how Ximendos and Amros are brothers and now its a possibilty of Arkain and Cameron too! This chapter feels like it is building up for even more action and intensity to come. "the flower crumbles from the stem" is such a beautiful line...I wonder what's going to happen when they come for Arkain. I also want to know what's going to happen with Cameron and Arkain, I get the feeling that Cameron knows that Arkain is his brother because he was the only one who wouldnt look at him hanging on the ceiling like Jesus. haha.

So much chaos.. I love Cameron a lot actually haha. And I enjoy the subtle kicks at religion :p And as Silent said above, I can see how you put yourself into this story quite a bit. Other than that, I like how Suri is showing a reaction of some sort. Shows she cares about him.
ReplyDeleteI kind of expected that Suri would be enraged concerning Arkain's chapter, but how strong is she exactly that she is able to cut down trees at whim? Maybe I forgot but i dont know much about her abilities. Anyway, I was not completely surprised about Cameron noting the similarities between him and Arkain. Either they are brothers and represent polar opposities with dualistic identities (ying and yan) or they are one in the same person, split like Picolo :p I will seee

Being that Arkain is being held captive and not currently present, what is going to happen with him if there is an all scale battle that ensues and he is not able to partake?

Suri is definitely coming into her own light now. Arkain does not know what he is dealing with and not entirely sure how he will react to finding out, in due time.
